Gimme ("Gimme," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at gimmeapp.xyz and the Gimme tee-time finding service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and basic profile details needed to operate your account.
- Mobile phone number. If you choose to enable SMS alerts, we collect the mobile number you provide so we can text you when a tee time you are watching becomes available.
- Search and watch preferences. The courses, dates, times, party size, and price criteria you save so we can find and watch matching tee times for you.
- Usage and device data. Standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and interactions with the Service, used to keep it secure and reliable.
How we use your information
- To provide the core Service: searching tee sheets and watching them on your behalf.
- To send you account-related and transactional messages, including the tee-time alerts you opt in to receive.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
SMS / text messaging
SMS alerts are opt-in only. You enable them yourself from your account's Notification Preferences and provide your mobile number; we never add you to SMS without that explicit action. Messages are transactional — we text you only when a tee time matching a watch you created becomes available.
We do not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information or SMS opt-in data is sold or shared with any third party for their own marketing. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the alerts you requested.
Message frequency varies based on the watches you create. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by turning off SMS in your Notification Preferences. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@gimmeapp.xyz. How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, our messaging provider that delivers SMS, and our hosting and database providers), and only as needed to perform those services on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Your choices
- Update or correct your account information from your account settings.
- Turn SMS alerts on or off at any time in Notification Preferences, or reply STOP.
- Request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
